ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Telemarketer - State Farm Agent Team Member for Rick Smith - State Farm Agent, you will play a key role in helping our agency connect with prospective customers and create new business opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, starting conversations, and helping people find solutions that meet their needs.

In this role, you will follow up on internet leads generated during evenings, weekends, and after-hours, qualify prospects, generate interest in State Farm products and services, and connect warm opportunities with our full-time sales team. Your efforts will help ensure that no lead goes untouched and that potential customers receive a timely, professional experience.

This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely after completing initial training in our office. If you are self-motivated, comfortable on the phone, and enjoy helping people while contributing to a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Make outbound calls to prospective customers regarding State Farm insurance products and services.
  • Follow up on internet leads generated during evenings, weekends, and after-hours.
  • Identify, qualify, and engage prospective customers by gathering relevant information and assessing their insurance needs.
  • Build rapport with potential customers and generate interest in available products and services.
  • Schedule appointments and facilitate warm handoffs to the agency's licensed sales team.
  • Provide basic information regarding insurance options and agency services.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and lead activity within agency systems.
  • Follow agency guidelines and compliance standards in all communications.
  • Track activity and provide updates on lead generation and appointment-setting efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in telemarketing, inside sales, customer service, or lead generation preferred.
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and persuasion skills.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and handling objections professionally.
  • Ability to work independently while staying organized and focused on goals.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn agency systems.
  • Professional, positive, and customer-focused phone presence.
  • Motivated by performance and contributing to the agency's growth.
SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Hours will primarily be evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays.
  • Initial training will be completed in-office to ensure a strong foundation and understanding of agency processes.
  • Opportunity to transition into a remote work arrangement following successful completion of training.
Compensation $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
